Ludovic Lazareth always does extravagant things. The eccentric designer and builder has developed and launched the first flying motorcycle.
Is this a joke or is it really true? You can hardly believe your eyes. The latest achievement rolling out of the French custom workshop of Ludovic Lazareth is a flying motorcycle, the Lazareth LMV 496. Based on the design of the LM 847, the predecessor has now been given turbines and a kerosene tank that allows a flight of 10 minutes. On the road, the LMV 496 model operates as an electric motorcycle with a range of about 100 kilometers. To switch to flight mode, the four turbines on the wheels are rotated 90 degrees. The turbines produce 1300 hp and 2800 N (newtons) of thrust. Switching from road to flight mode is done by operating a switch on the dashboard.
Lazareth has limited production to 5 models, with one model costing around half a million euros. How good the flying motorcycle is to trade, how it looks like with permits and what such stuff concerns, you best ask at Lazareth.
Whether it works or not. It's the future that people want. This thing is really hot!
