It was less than a month ago when the Swiss National Bank, to everyone's complete surprise and contrary to its own statements made just a short time before, lifted the minimum exchange rate of CHF 1.20 and left the foreign exchange rate to the free market, thus causing the biggest price plunge in the history of the Swiss stock exchange and the Swiss Market Index (SMI). But exporters and importers can not rest long because of the shock.
Honda gives strong discounts
From the Swiss motorcycle industry reaches us today the news of Honda Motor Europe Ltd. based in Satigny near Geneva. Honda lowers the prices of their entire range by about 12% in response to the franc shock and as a concession to Swiss customers! Now that's a whopping chunk! The clothing lines of Redpointgear with brands such as Alpinestars or IXON are even 15% cheaper.
